Former Changamwe lawmaker Ramadhan Seif Kajembe passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020, at the Pandya Memorial Hospital in Mombasa, where he was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
His death comes just a week after his wife lost her battle to COVID-19.
Kajembe served as the MP for Changamwe constituency for three terms, first elected in 1997 on a KANU ticket, then in 2002 on a NARC ticket, and finally in 2007 on an Orange Democratic Movement party ticket.
He was replaced by Omar Mwinyi in 2013, who was reelected in 2017.
