Justice John Onyiego has adjourned the bail application of Sirisia MP John Waluke and his business partner Grace Wakhungu to Wednesday next week.
The adjournment comes after the Milimani Law Courts were closed by Chief Justice David Maraga due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the court, Judiciary staff at the court station were directed to self-quarantine for 14 days and thereafter get tested before resumption of physical operations.
Lawyer Paul Muite, representing Wakhungu, said his client is in poor health and needs medical attention.
"She is 80 and has history of poor health and medical history. We want that taken into account," said Mr Muite.
Wakhungu, the mother of Kenya Ambassador to France Judi Wakhungu, is suffering from diabetes, arthritis, and hypertension. During her time in prison, she has developed athletes' foot disease.
Waluke and Wakhungu are serving 37-year and 39-year sentences respectively at Kamiti Maximum Prison and Lang'ata Women Prison for their roles in the NCPB maize scandal.
