On August 8, the Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam will host a charity soccer game between top Bongo Flava artists Ali Kiba and Harmonize.
Ali Kiba will play for his eponymous team, while Harmonize will play under the leadership of Taifa Stars' captain and Aston Villa forward Mbwana Samatta.
During a pre-match conference, Kiba expressed concerns about the match officiating, citing that he had previously lost to Samatta's team twice in a row.
However, Samatta responded by saying that Kiba complains too much and should prepare for defeat. He also jokingly suggested that Kiba's younger brother Abdu Kiba should be the referee.
As the two teams prepare for the match, whose proceeds will be donated to the Ministry of Education, Harmonize was spotted during his side's final training session.
Samatta, currently Tanzania's top footballer, is immortalised in Ben Pol and Darassa's hit song 'Muziki', which features the lyrics 'Rudi utotoni, Usopitembea utabebwa mgongoni, 255 champion boy Mbwana Samatta...'
