20 Years of Music and Heartache ¶
With a career spanning two decades, Bongo singer Lady Jay Dee has seen it all - the highs and lows, the laughter and tears. Her music has been a constant source of joy for her fans, but her personal life has been marred by heartache.
One of the most significant relationships in her life was her marriage to her ex-husband, which lasted for nine years. However, the union was not without its challenges. In a recent interview with Clouds FM, Lady Jay Dee revealed that her ex-husband's infidelity and drinking problem were major issues in their marriage.
'We were both at fault because we are all human and make mistakes,' she said. 'I have closed that chapter and will never go back to him. We are just friends, although at first, we feuded. Now we drink wine together. I even know his new lover and we get along.'
Despite the challenges she faced in her marriage, Lady Jay Dee is grateful that she and her ex-husband were able to part ways without any children. 'My marriage didn’t work out,' she said. 'I was not happy at all and that’s why I decided not to carry on. My husband was cheating on me and had become a drunkard, while I was working so hard and giving the relationship all that I was able to. I am just happy and thank God that I don’t have children with him.'
