On a historic visit to Kenya in 2015, former US President Barack Obama was treated to an unforgettable performance by the Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol.
As part of Obama's official duties, Sauti Sol took the stage at Statehouse, bringing the house down with their energetic performance.
Among the notable guests in attendance were Obama's half-sister Auma Obama, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, American hip-hop artist Akon, and Obama's step-grandmother, Mama Sarah.
Speaking to Classic105, radio personality Maina Kageni shared a heartwarming story about the night, revealing that he has a framed photo of the performance hanging in his home.
"Do you know what photo of you guys I have hung in my house?" Kageni asked during a live phone call interview with Bien. "It's the photo of when you performed and Barack Obama joined you. I have it framed and hang on my walls. I look at that photo every day before I go to work every morning. You inspire me in ways you will never know."
