On August 7, 2020, a court ruled that the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) must pay nearly Sh. 1 million to Senior Counsel Ahmednassir Abdullahi, also known as Grand Mullah, for damages to his luxury vehicle, a Bentley Bentayga.

The damage occurred on August 25, 2018, when employees of KENHA, who were repairing the Nairobi-Namanga road, damaged the windscreen of Grand Mullah's vehicle with stones and shrapnel.

Magistrate Edwin Mulochi, in his ruling, stated that the award of Sh. 750,000 in special damages would restore Grand Mullah to the position he was in before the accident.

However, the magistrate declined to award general damages, citing that doing so would amount to unjust enrichment.

Grand Mullah had planned a road trip with his two daughters to Tanzania before the accident occurred, but the incident forced him to cancel his plans.
