Indian TV actor and model Sameer Sharma, known for his role in the popular TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has died in a suspected suicide, according to local reports.
On August 5, 2020, the 44-year-old actor was found dead in the kitchen of his Malad home in Mumbai, according to Hindustan Times.
According to the police, Sameer was staying at the first floor of Neha CHS building, Ahinsa Marg in Malad (west), and had rented the apartment in February.

However, an investigation is ongoing, and a case of accidental death has been registered. The police have not found any evidence to suggest that Sameer may have been killed, and no suicide note has been found at the house so far.
Fans of the star have taken to social media to share messages of sadness and have called for a thorough investigation before it is deemed that Sameer took his own life.
One fan tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to know that #sameersharma is no more RIP Don't assume this as suicide without any legal investigation.”
Sameer worked for an advertising agency in Bangalore before moving to Mumbai to become an actor and getting his big break on playing Nitin on Star One's Dil Kya Chahta Hai.
