Jeff Koinange, a popular Citizen TV news anchor and talk show host, has made a full recovery from COVID-19.
On July 20, 2020, Koinange shocked the nation when he announced that he had tested positive for the virus, stating that he was asymptomatic at the time and only discovered his condition after getting tested.
However, in a recent update, Koinange revealed that he had taken another test 14 days after testing positive and had received a negative result.
According to Koinange, he was advised to wait 72 hours before taking another test to confirm the negative result, which he did.
“Some news, after day 14, I tested again. I was negative… people from the clinic have insisted I should test again in 72 hours to get a double negative,” he said.
As of now, Kenya has confirmed 23,873 positive cases of COVID-19, with 391 fatalities and 9,930 recoveries.
