Published on August 6, 2020, Tanzanian artiste Lady Jay Dee has spoken candidly about her failed marriage to Gardner Habash.
Despite their divorce, Lady Jay Dee revealed that she and her ex-husband have maintained a strong friendship.
During an interview with Millard Ayo, Lady Jay Dee explained,
“I can’t speak for him, but on my part, I have closed that chapter and will never go back to him, we are just friends although at first, we feuded something that happens with divorcing couples, now we drink wine together. I even know his new lover and we get along,”
She also stated that she is open to the idea of settling down again in the future, saying,
“I can’t answer if I will get married again or if I won’t ever get married again. I am going with the flow. Whatever makes me happy I am fine with even if it doesn’t lead to marriage,”
Unlike many couples who point fingers after a divorce, Lady Jay Dee took a more mature approach, stating that both she and her ex-husband were at fault in the breakdown of their marriage.
She recently celebrated 20 years of her musical journey, a testament to her enduring talent and dedication to her craft.
