On August 6, 2020, gospel artiste Kambua took to social media to share her personal struggles and the healing power of God.

She revealed that there are wounds in life that only God can heal, as no amount of time can heal them due to their depth.

'God can heal ALL wounds,' she said. 'We often say time is a healer, but I've gone through things that time could never have healed.'

She attributed her healing to Jehovah Rapha, the balm in Gilead that seeps through her deepest, darkest, and most broken places.

Despite her love for keeping her life private, Kambua shares bits and pieces of her experiences to encourage others going through similar struggles.

She faced constant trolling and public scrutiny for not bearing a child despite being married for many years, with some even accusing her of intentionally not wanting to bear a child.

However, God heard her cries and gave her a son, leaving her critics hiding in shame.

Her other loss was the passing of her father, Professor Maundu, in 2014, who struggled with an ailment for some time.
