Nakuru Robbery Suspect Brought to Justice

On August 6, 2020, detectives in Nakuru made a significant breakthrough in their efforts to combat crime, arresting a 52-year-old suspect who had been terrorizing the town with a string of robberies.

The suspect, James Maina Njuguna, was apprehended in a hideout in the Eastmore area, where police recovered a stash of incriminating items, including ID cards bearing different names, two driving licenses, a Civilian Firearm Certificate bearing another person's name, and assorted electronic gadgets.

According to the DCI, these items will be used as exhibits when the suspect is arraigned in court.

Meanwhile, detectives also arrested Brian Libasi, who is suspected of breaking into a foreign High Commissioner's residence on June 23, 2020. The suspect was hiding in the Mwembeni area of Kibra, where police recovered a range of stolen household items, including two carpets, a gas cooker, an LG fridge, shoes, bed sheets, curtains, a coffee table, a TV stand, and a laptop.
