On a morning show at Kiss FM, comedian Jalango shared a poignant story about his past life, highlighting the struggles he faced after his friends proceeded to campus without him.
According to Jalango, his 'aha' moment came when he realized he had to take control of his life despite the challenges he was facing.
'When I finished form four, my dad couldn't afford school fees. I used to feel embarrassment as everyone else had gone to Nairobi to join campus. I would sit in the house and cry. One day I just woke up and said 'kama mbaya mbaya.' I had no option, whatever it took I was determined to succeed.'
Fast forward to today, Jalango has become one of the most sought-after radio personalities in Kenya, working with stations like Kiss FM, Hot96, and Milele FM, and running his own YouTube channel, Jalango TV.
He is also among the highest-paid MCs in Kenya and has successfully diversified his business ventures, living a life he could only dream of in his youth.
As Jalango's story shows, hard work and determination can overcome even the most daunting challenges and pave the way for a brighter future.
