Published on August 6, 2020, a report by a local daily revealed that the Bank of India is seeking to repossess the home of Hosea Kiplagat, a nephew of the late President Daniel Arap Moi.

Hosea Kiplagat, a former powerful politician during the Moi era, guaranteed and failed to repay loans by two of his companies, Eldoret Concrete Poles Limited and Timber Treatment Limited.
