On August 5, 2020, Senator Priscilla Zawadi Kitsao was involved in a serious accident along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway at Malili.
According to Makueni county commander Joseph ole Naipeiyan, the senator's vehicle had a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle at around 5pm.
Fortunately, officials at Machakos level 5 hospital reported that Senator Zawadi is in a stable condition and receiving treatment.
Just a week prior, a vehicle carrying Taita Taveta woman Representative was involved in a fatal accident at Emali, killing a man.
