On a fateful morning, a Kenyan man's ailing brother was arrested by the police on behalf of his other brother, who is currently at large.
The incident, which has left many questioning the legality of such actions, occurred in Nairobi. The ailing brother, Calistus Sang, had taken a motorcycle on loan, but was involved in an accident and has been unable to pay the weekly dues.
According to the concerned Kenyan, his brother Peter was arrested by the police and asked to produce Sang. However, Peter was not a signatory to the loan agreement and was not responsible for Sang's actions.
The incident has raised questions about the police's right to arrest someone on behalf of another person, simply because they are related. The concerned Kenyan has called out the officers at Riruta police station, Kawangware, and is seeking help to air out this issue.
