Willis Raburu, a renowned Citizen TV anchor, recently spoke about his childhood experiences in an interview released on August 4, 2020. The 10 Over 10 host shared stories about his family, career, and how he coped with the loss of his daughter in January.
According to Raburu, his father, a strict and religious man, played a significant role in shaping the man he is today. He recalled how his father once sent a Land Rover vehicle with two police officers to his high school after he was suspended.
Despite the strict rules at his school, Raburu had a girlfriend, and when the school principal found out, he announced their suspension at an assembly. Raburu was forced to step down as the Organizing Secretary of the Christian Union.
However, to his surprise, Raburu's father did not severely punish him. Instead, he advised him to focus on his studies, telling him that spilt milk could not be recovered. This experience taught Raburu the importance of a strong work ethic and spirituality.
Raburu's faith has been a pillar in his life, helping him deal with various trying times, including scandals in his career and the death of his daughter. He noted that it also helped him reconcile his gospel background with his current career as a host of 10 Over 10.
