On August 5, 2020, a disturbing incident unfolded in Kakamega, where a woman was severely beaten by her neighbours for allegedly poisoning their chicken.
The alleged poisoning occurred when the neighbour's chicken was found dead in the victim's compound. The neighbour, infuriated by the discovery, mobilized her children to attack the woman, leaving her badly injured.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the woman being beaten by the neighbour's children.
The victim's husband, Harron Incheu, has denied the allegations, claiming that his wife was beaten for malicious reasons. He stated, 'This was a plot to injure my wife, and they have carried it out. I will not back down until justice is served.'
It is worth noting that Kakamega has a reputation for unusual incidents involving chickens, including a reported case last year where a baby allegedly died after being frightened by a chicken.
