Published on August 5, 2020, a video of Nairobi Member of County Assembly (MCA) Mary Njambi has been making waves on social media.
The video, which has been viewed by many, shows Mary Njambi dancing with a younger man at a house party. The party appears to be hosted at her poorly-lit house, and the atmosphere is lively, with many guests enjoying themselves.
However, not everyone is amused by the video. Some Kenyans have taken to social media to criticize Mary Njambi's behavior, describing her as one of the many things wrong with the country's leadership.
Mary Njambi has been in the news before for her outspoken personality and controversial actions. In October 2018, she shot to fame after a botched attempt to eject Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, Beatrice Elachi.
During the incident, Mary Njambi passionately protested that Elachi had sprayed pepper in her eyes, an act she termed as 'Kirimino' (Criminal).
Just under two weeks ago, Mary Njambi was among a group of Nairobi MCAs who took to the streets of Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) demanding for the removal of Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi, via an impeachment motion.
