On a recent YouTube interview with MC Jessy, Willis Raburu opened up about his first love, a high school sweetheart he only identified as Grace.
According to Willis, their young love got them into trouble at Chemilil Sugar Academy, where he was the organising secretary of the Christian Union (CU). The school had a strict rule, No. 13, which prohibited non-academic relationships between students of the opposite sex.
Willis recalled how he challenged the rule and had a girlfriend who was 'crazy' and 'hard-headed.' He narrated how one day, his girlfriend sat on him during preps, and the teacher on duty was passing by, which led to their suspension.
Willis and Grace were called out to the front during assembly and were told they were being sent home on two weeks' suspension. However, Willis refused to go home and instead, he was escorted by two police officers and a Landrover Defender 110 sent by his father.
Willis said that after the incident, most of the preaching from the Christian Union was done using him as an example of how not to be a Christian. He was also asked to step down from his post as the organising secretary.
Despite the suspension, Willis' high school sweetheart kept calling him. The last time they saw each other was just before Willis joined Royal Media 10 years ago, and he still felt a strong attraction to her.
