August 5, 2020, marked the beginning of a bitter fight between MediaMax and Royal Media Services over comedian Prof Hamo. The comedian's potential move from Royal Media's Hot 96 to MediaMax's Milele FM had been in the works, with Hamo expressing interest in joining the new station after completing his self-isolation.

Prof Hamo had self-isolated after co-host Jeff Koinange tested positive for Covid-19. Despite this, Hamo had already signed a contract with MediaMax and was set to join radio host Dee, also known as Presenter 001, to host Milele FM Drive from 4 pm to 8 pm.

However, Royal Media Services acted swiftly to retain Hamo's talent, reportedly offering him another lucrative contract. The station also ran a promo announcing Jeff Koinange's radio comeback, further enticing Hamo to stay.

MediaMax, on the other hand, had started running a radio promotion of Hamo and Dee, which caught the attention of Royal Media Services. The fight between the two media stations has left fans and followers eagerly waiting to see where Prof Hamo will ultimately end up.
