Manchester United Names 30-Man Squad for Europa League

Manchester United has named its 30-man squad for the remainder of the Europa League campaign, with several key players missing due to injury or other reasons.

On August 4, 2020, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced the squad, which includes regulars such as Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford.

However, left-back Luke Shaw has not been included in the squad due to injury, and Axel Tuanzebe has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Phil Jones, who has missed Manchester United's games since the restart, is a surprise inclusion in the list.

Other notable inclusions include youth-team captain Teden Mengi and Ethan Galbraith, who are both surprise additions to the squad.

The squad includes:

  • Goalkeepers: De Gea, Romero, Grant, Nathan Bishop
  • Defenders: Bailly, Dalot, Fosu-Mensah, Jones, Ethan Laird, Lindelof, Maguire, Teden Mengi, Wan-Bissaka, Williams
  • Midfielders: Pereira, Fernandes, Fred, Ethan Galbraith, Garner, James, Lingard, Mata, Matic, McTominay, Pogba
  • Forwards: Chong, Greenwood, Ighalo, Martial, Rashford
