Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has signed a new long-term contract with the club, committing himself to Old Trafford until 2024, with the option of a further year.
Williams, who joined Manchester United at the age of seven, has impressed this season, making 33 appearances in all competitions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
As part of his new deal, the 19-year-old left-back's wages are understood to have risen from £4,000-a-week to around £60,000-a-week.
Williams expressed his delight at signing the new contract, saying, "It feels amazing to sign another contract with the club I’ve loved for as long as I can remember."
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Williams, saying, "Brandon has had an excellent first season, so we're delighted that he has signed a new contract. This new deal is a real testament to his hard work and the progress that he has made since his debut."
Williams' new contract is a significant boost to Manchester United's young squad, and he is expected to continue to learn and develop under Solskjaer's guidance.
