Michaela Morgan's life took a dramatic turn in 2019 when she separated from her husband of seven years and lost her beloved dog, Dougie, to cancer. The heartbreak left her feeling lost and hopeless, but she found solace in her passion for art.
With the help of self-help books and digital art literature, Michaela decided to turn her passion into a business. She invested in the necessary equipment and software, including a Wacom tablet and an iPad Pro, and started creating trendy and contemporary fashion art.
Despite facing initial challenges, including a slow start to her website, Michaela persevered and her business, Mimo Arts, began to take off in April 2020. By the end of July, she had sold over Sh16.3 million worth of orders and amassed an Instagram following of over 27,000.
Michaela's success is a testament to her talent, hard work, and refusal to let life beat her down. She credits her ability to work long hours, often 12 hours a day, for her success and encourages others to follow their passions and take inspiration from her journey.
"Anyone can do what they put their minds to – it's all out there, you've just got to do it," Michaela said in an interview with WalesOnline.
