On a somber yet celebratory note, family and friends of Dr Adisa Lugaliki, who passed away on July 10, 2020, after succumbing to Covid-19, came together at her Nairobi residence on August 1 to honor her memory.

Published on August 4, 2020, this heartwarming gathering was a testament to the impact Dr Adisa had on those around her. As an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Nairobi South Hospital, she had touched the lives of many, and her passing was deeply felt.

Her fiancé, Fred Mboss, shared a touching tribute, remembering Dr Adisa as a fun-loving and outgoing woman who lived life to the fullest. He revealed that the memorial was also a way to help the young children she left behind heal from the loss.

‘When a beautiful queen rested, the best we could do was to offer her a great send off! We were shattered but quickly regrouped with her friends and decided that would do it her own way and style. Addy lived the life and was glamorous, we were not going to take that away from her,’ Fred Mboss wrote in a heartfelt post.

Below are photos from the colorful memorial, which served as a celebration of Dr Adisa's life and a tribute to her memory.
