On Monday, actress Portia de Rossi posted an 'I Stand By Ellen' hashtag on her Instagram account in support of her wife, Ellen DeGeneres, who has been facing criticism over a hostile work environment on her talk show.

DeGeneres has been married to de Rossi for 12 years and has been under fire for weeks due to complaints by former production staffers about racism and bullying by upper management, as well as claims that the comedian is mean-spirited.

Warner Bros. Television, which produces the show, conducted an internal investigation and implemented staffing changes and other measures to address the issue. However, the developments only led to further criticism, with the #ReplaceEllen hashtag going viral on Monday.

Other celebrities, including Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras and DJ Samantha Ronson, have also publicly supported DeGeneres, with Figueras writing on Instagram, 'She makes the world a better place for millions of people every day and we cannot hit her because something may have not been perfect.'
