Edgar Obare, a well-known blogger, was arrested last week and released on Monday after being charged at Kiambu Law Courts.

He was held in police custody at the Gigiri Police Station, where he shared his shocking account of life behind bars on Instagram Live.

According to Edgar, the police station had four rooms, sometimes with as many as six people in each room. He advised his fans to choose rooms with many people, as they were less likely to be given blankets at night, making it very cold.

Edgar also spoke about the food, which he described as similar to that in high school, consisting of tea and bread for breakfast and ugali and sukuma for dinner.

During the live session, one of his fans asked if he was 'wifed' in jail, to which Edgar replied, 'No one touched me. The police did not touch me, everyone was nice. Jail is not somewhere you want to be.'

Edgar also expressed his gratitude to Xtian Della, who brought him breakfast, lunch, and dinner while he was in custody, making him a hero in the eyes of the other inmates.

On his release, Edgar stated, 'I'm okay, just a little bruised. I survived it, I will be fine. They took their best shot, but I'm fine. People need to understand this movement doesn't stop. There is a vacuum on the type of content we consume.'
