On August 2, 2020, a tragic incident occurred in Keti village, Nyang'oma, Kisumu County, where a father allegedly beat his daughter to death.
The incident occurred after the father summoned his two daughters, who had allegedly spent a night away without his permission.
According to Deputy County Commissioner Erick Wanyonyi, the father attacked the girls using blunt objects, leaving one of them dead and the other nursing injuries.
Wanyonyi stated that law enforcers arrested the suspect after they got wind of the matter, and upon arriving at the scene, they found the father in the process of burying the daughter.
The police recovered the body and took it to Ahero Sub-County Hospital mortuary, while the suspect was taken to Chemelil Police Station.
The deceased, a standard seven pupil at Nyalenya Primary School, sustained serious injuries on the head and abdomen.
