Kenyan comedians have become a huge gem in the media industry, with several of them changing stations in recent months. Jalang'o, a popular comedian, switched from Milele FM to Kiss FM in July 2020, joining MCA Tricky.

Professor Hamo, a comedian and actor, was poised to join Milele FM from Hot 96 FM after completing his self-isolation. However, the station failed to retain his talent, with Hamo reportedly offered a lucrative contract by Hot 96 FM.

Both Milele FM and Hot 96 FM concurrently ran promotions on Professor Hamo, with Jeff Koinange announcing a radio comeback from Covid-19 isolation. Speaking with Kenyans.co.ke, Groups Radio Programs Manager at Mediamax, Simaloi Dajom, played coy with the details of Hamo's contract and directed questions to the comedian.

However, she gave an insight into the ongoing restructuring at Milele FM. Dajom stated, "You can get accurate information from Hamo himself. All I can speak about is the reorganisation. Program changes are internal strategies which I cannot share for now. However, change is necessary and everyone with talent has to adapt to it."

Professor Hamo and Hot 96 FM's Station Manager Cynthia Mwangi were yet to respond to calls and text messages regarding the issue by the time of publication.
