Edgar Obare, a Kenyan vlogger, has been released on bail after three nights in custody at Gigiri police station.

The vlogger was arrested on July 30, 2020, following a report by Natalie Tewa, a social media influencer, who claimed that Obare had published her personal data without her consent.

Obare's arrest sparked a media frenzy, with many Kenyans taking to social media to express their opinions on the matter.

On August 3, 2020, Obare appeared before the Kiambu Law Courts, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

He was released on a KSh 100,000 cash bail and his case is set to be mentioned on August 21, 2020, with a hearing scheduled for November 2, 2020.

As part of his bail conditions, Obare has been ordered not to discuss the case in public.
