Kenya's tea industry has experienced a significant boost in the first half of 2020, with tea export earnings reaching KSh 68.9 Billion, a 22% increase from the same period in 2019.

According to data from the Kenya Bureau of Statistics, the volume of tea exports from January to June 2020 hit 300.5 Million kilograms, a 41% increase from the 235.5 Million kilograms exported during the same period in 2019.

Kenya's tea industry is a significant contributor to the country's foreign income, and the recent surge in tea export earnings is a welcome development for the economy.
