On August 3, 2020, Realme, one of the world's fastest-growing smartphone brands, announced its official entry into the Kenyan mobile phone market as part of its global expansion strategy.

The company is launching with the Realme C3, a budget smartphone that runs on Android 10 and is priced at Kshs 14,000.

The Realme C3 boasts impressive features, including a 6.5-inch HD display, a 12-megapixel AI triple camera with portrait and macro lenses, a Helio G70 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery.

With over 40 million users in about 60 countries, Realme aims to replicate its success in markets like India, where it has consistently ranked among the top 3 smartphone brands since its inception over 2 years ago.

“Realme’s launch in Kenya targets publics who embody the brand slogan ‘dare to leap’, which is inspired by the young generation who are regarded as being more open-minded, confident, self-expressive, liberal, upbeat, and receptive to new ideas and ways of living,” a statement from the company notes.

The Realme C3 is available in two colours: Frozen Blue and Blazing Red.
