Maureen Waititu, a social media influencer, has come under fire from her ex-husband and the public after he claimed he is not a deadbeat and that she lives in his mother's house rent-free.
However, in a recent statement, Maureen has clarified the situation, stating that she had told her ex-husband she had found a new apartment, but he suggested she stay in the house to save money for the kids.
Maureen revealed that she had renovated the house herself in May, using her own money, and had never claimed the house as her own.
She also addressed the allegations that she receives a substantial amount of money from her ex-husband, stating that she has never spoken ill of him in public and has been living a separate life since their breakup 13 months ago.
Maureen expressed her hurt and frustration at being trolled and abused online, and at seeing her family being hurt by the situation.
She emphasized that everyone has their own journey of moving on after a breakup, and that she has not settled into her new life yet.
