The National Youth Council has launched a 72-hour challenge to find innovative solutions to combat Covid-19. The competition, dubbed Fursathon, Fursa vs Virus, aims to award Sh400,000 to the best innovation.
Partially sponsored by Huawei Kenya and Kenya Pipeline Company, the challenge is part of the government's efforts to support the youth technically and provide opportunities to access supply chains in various infrastructure projects.
According to Zilper Abong'o, Head of Marketing at Kenya Pipeline Company, the government has committed to supporting the youth through the Access to Government Procurement Activities programme.
“We are delighted to support youth by providing prize money of Sh400,000, and we also call on more public and private sector players to support this noble initiative,” she said.
