On July 31, 2020, a tragic fire incident occurred at a house in Riverbank estate, Embakasi, leaving a man and a woman dead.
The couple, who were allegedly cheating on their partners, were rescued from the burning house by good Samaritans but died at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to an eyewitness, the woman, who was married to a Legio Maria believer, had been cheating on her husband for a while.
The witness suspected that the couple was using a candle to light the room and fell asleep, causing the fire to spread and burn down the house.
Despite efforts to put out the fire and save the couple, it was too late, and they succumbed to their injuries.
The two bodies have been transferred to the KNH Mortuary.
