Shaffie Weru, a self-proclaimed member of Team Mafisi, has made headlines after confessing that he has no plans to get married.
Speaking in an interview with Mpasho.co.ke, Weru, who is 40 years old and a father of two, revealed that his mother and aunties had given up on him getting married.
'My mum and aunties gave up on me,' Weru said. 'I think that was never for me and will never happen. I really tried, but it was rejected.'
Weru, who has been off the dating scene for the past four to five years, also expressed his surprise at the public's expectation of him getting married.
'If I've never gone on a date for the last four to five years, you guys are still waiting for me to get married? Really?' Weru asked.
Weru also took the opportunity to advise women against dating playboys who are all over social media, naming a list of celebrities he believed would tie the knot in 2021, including Khaligraph Jones, Nick Mutuma, Otile Brown, King Kaka, and Octopizzo.
'Watu waache kuniuliza maswali za ujinga …unless niolewe,' Weru said. 'If I get a woman who wants to marry me…'
Weru also expressed his preference for women who come with a good vibe, stating that he would never get married unless a woman proposed to him.
'If you're the type of person, you come with a good vibe because I'll never do it,' Weru said. 'Let the women come and do it.'
