It's a peculiar human trait to latch onto anything that makes us feel superior to others. In the past, this manifested as adults boasting about their secondary school days, implying that those who attended 'blue chip' schools like Maseno, Alliance, or Lenana were somehow better than others. However, this notion is no longer relevant in today's world.

With the expansion of education, there are now numerous top schools to choose from, and the chances of getting good grades from even a basic village institution have increased. The curriculum is the same, and teachers hold the same qualifications, regardless of the school. Moreover, school is merely a means to an end – it's what we do with our education that truly matters.

While it's essential to take pride in one's education and the role it plays in shaping who we become, this pride should not be demonstrated by belittling those who attended different schools. Instead, we should focus on the impact we make in society, contributing to solving existential challenges and becoming better role models.
