Kenya is set to welcome back five major international airlines as the country slowly reopens its airspace following the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, the airlines scheduled to resume operations are Qatar Airways, Emirates, British Airways, KLM, and Air France.

Emirates will be the first to resume operations with a repatriation flight on July 28, 2020, departing from Nairobi to Dubai at 4:15pm. British Airways will follow suit on August 1, 2020, operating four flights weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Qatar Airways and KLM will both resume international travel into and out of Nairobi on August 3, 2020, with KLM also offering four weekly flights on the same days as British Airways. Qatar Airways, however, has announced that it will offer 14 weekly flights 'subject to regulatory approval,' advising passengers to check the information published by the government of their destination country before traveling.

Lastly, Air France will resume operations on August 6, 2020, with a single flight to Paris every Friday.
