On Sunday, 19 July, Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wah took to his Twitter handle to send a message of hope to Deputy President William Ruto and his colleagues.

The move has wowed Kenyans, coming as it did after President Uhuru Kenyatta kicked out several party members allied to the Deputy President from plum positions.

Among those affected were Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale, and Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki.

Deputy President Ruto, through his social media pages, urged his confidants to remain united and continue serving Kenyans in their respective positions.
