On July 20, 2020, Charles Bukeko, the late Papa Shirandula, was finally laid to rest in his home county of Busia.

The burial ceremony was significantly smaller than usual, with only around 100 people in attendance, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Beatrice, Papa Shirandula's widow, delivered a heartfelt eulogy, praising her late husband as a devoted Christian, loving partner, and ardent supporter of local talent.

She also expressed her deep regret over the circumstances surrounding her husband's death at the Karen Hospital, accusing the medical facility of negligence.

Beatrice and Papa Shirandula have three young children who will undoubtedly miss their father dearly.
