On Monday, during the burial of celebrated actor Papa Shirandula, his wife Beatrice Andega made a shocking accusation against Karen Hospital. She blamed the hospital for her husband's death, citing negligence in his treatment.
According to Beatrice, the hospital only carried out a COVID-19 test, ignoring other tests like malaria and pneumonia that her husband had requested. She claimed that hospital staff dragged their feet in attending to her husband when she took him for treatment on Saturday.
Beatrice revealed that her husband died while seated on a car seat outside the hospital, yet to be admitted. She said that he was a responsible man who loved his family and was yet to be given the necessary medical attention.

On a somber note, Papa Shirandula was buried at the family's graveside behind his house and next to two of his siblings' graves. His father, Cosmas Bukeko Wafula, said the body was buried facing the homestead in line with Luhya traditions, to 'guard the family from invasions.'
