Published on July 20, 2020, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that David de Gea's place in Man United could be under threat following his poor performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup.
De Gea's goalkeeping blunders during the semi-final clash at Wembley Stadium on July 19, 2020, saw both Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount capitalize on his errors to sink United.
Chelsea secured a 3-1 win over Man United, with a Harry Maguire own goal in the 74th minute putting the game beyond the Red Devils.
Solskjaer believes De Gea should have saved Blues' second goal scored by Mason Mount.
With Sergio Romero providing a viable alternative, the Norwegian boss hit out at De Gea's display, noting, "everyone has to perform."
"Obviously, everyone has to perform," Solskjaer was quoted saying by Metro UK when asked about De Gea's mistakes.
However, Solskjaer observed he had no regret playing the 29-year-old in goal despite Romero playing a pivotal part in United's cup competitions campaign.
