On Sunday morning, Wendy Muthoni, the daughter of Water Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki, passed away at the Nairobi Hospital.
According to her family, Muthoni, affectionately known as 'Noni', had been hospitalized for two weeks prior to her death.
At the time of her passing, Muthoni was a second-year law student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology's Karen Campus.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of comfort to the family, wishing them God's fortitude during this difficult period and assuring them of his support.
Deputy President William Ruto, Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga, and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka have also condoled the family, offering their sympathies and prayers.
