Uhuru Kenyatta Spotted Driving Himself Through Nairobi CBD

President Uhuru Kenyatta made headlines on Sunday, July 19, 2020, after he was spotted driving himself through Nairobi CBD in his luxurious Mercedes G-Wagon.

According to eyewitnesses, the president made a brief stopover at Haile Selassie Avenue, where he interacted with excited Kenyans who were thrilled to see him.

Uhuru also stopped at Railways to inspect projects being undertaken by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS).

His security detail, however, prevented him from giving a lengthy address to the eager crowd, who were keen to shake his hand.

Uhuru's love for driving himself around town is not new, as he has been spotted doing so on several occasions in the past.

On Sunday, February 9, 2020, he drove himself from State House to Nyayo Stadium to inspect preparations for the burial of the late Mzee Moi.

On another occasion, on Sunday, April 26, 2020, he drove to Ndenderu, Kiambaa, where he hailed police officers for doing a good job in enforcing the cessation of movement order.
