On July 19, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his condolences to the family of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation CS Sicily Kariuki after the death of her daughter Wendy Muthoni.
Muthoni, a second-year student at JKUAT Karen Campus, died at the Nairobi Hospital on the same day.
The cause of death was not immediately clear, but President Kenyatta assured the family of his support as they came to terms with the great loss.
Deputy President William Ruto also eulogised Muthoni as a determined, diligent and honest lady who will be remembered for her kindness.
