Published on July 19, 2020, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is optimistic that the team's improved form and their upcoming FA Cup final appearance will convince Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to stay at the club.
Aubameyang has been linked with Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain, but Arteta believes the team's recent success, including a shock 2-0 win over FA Cup holders Manchester City, will be enough to persuade the Gabon forward to extend his contract.
“Good and beautiful moments, they are always better than the bad ones,” Arteta said, highlighting the positive atmosphere within the team.
Defender Kieran Tierney echoed Arteta's sentiments, saying that the team's improved team spirit has been a key factor in their recent success.
“It’s a good feeling in the squad now, it’s positive and that’s all you can ask for,” Tierney said.
