Leaked Phone Conversation Between Mike Sonko and Kalembe Ndile Emerges ¶
On June 30, 2019, a phone conversation between Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and former Kibwezi West MP Kalembe Ndile surfaced on social media, revealing a heated exchange between the two over a tender.
According to the leaked conversation, Ndile was heard begging Sonko for payments for an alleged tender, while Sonko insulted him using derogatory language.
Ndile boasted of how he had helped Sonko when he was in need, but this statement struck the wrong chord with Sonko, who started abusing him and swore not to pay him a dime.
At one point, Sonko told Ndile to report to the police station, stating that there was no work he had done for him and that he was just supplying air.
Despite being treated rudely by Sonko, Ndile did not relent in pleading for his dues, with Sonko further threatening to reverse all monies in his accounts.
It is not clear who recorded the telephone conversation, but Sonko's history of recording and sharing private conversations online makes him the probable person behind the leak.
On June 30, 2019, a similar incident occurred when a leaked phone conversation of a lady presumed to be Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris begging for money and love from a man believed to be Sonko emerged online.
It is worth noting that Sonko has a history of recording and sharing private conversations online, which raises questions about his intentions in this case.
