Kenya Records 603 New Coronavirus Cases ¶

Kenya has recorded 603 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 13,353, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.
The new cases are from 5,724 samples and bring to 243,887 the total number of tests carried out since the pandemic was first reported.
Of the new cases, 361 are male and 242 are female, with ages ranging from 7 months to 86 years.
The cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi (441), Kiambu (44), Mombasa (22), Nakuru (17), Kilifi (10), Machakos (6), Kisii (6), Makueni (5), Murang’a (3), Nyeri (2), Kakamega (1), Kericho (1), Kisumu (1), Kwale (1), Lamu (1), Narok (1), Tharaka Nithi (1), and Uasin Gishu (1).
At the same time, Kenya has recorded 682 new discharges, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,122. 562 of the new recoveries were patients under the home care system, while 120 were in various hospitals.
Unfortunately, 9 patients have succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities so far to 234.
