Kenya Records 603 New Covid-19 Cases

On July 19, 2020, Kenya's Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe provided an update on the country's Covid-19 situation at Afya House in Nairobi.

According to the latest figures, Kenya has recorded 603 new Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours from 5,724 samples tested. This brings the total number of positive cases in the country to 13,353.

Of the new cases, 361 were males and 242 were females, with the youngest being a 7-month-old infant and the oldest being 86 years old.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced that 682 people have recovered from the disease, with 562 under home-based care and 120 discharged from hospitals. This brings the total number of recoveries to 5,122.

Unfortunately, nine more patients have succumbed to the virus, bringing the number of fatalities to 234.
