On Sunday, the Health Ministry announced that 603 more people in Kenya had tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the country's total cases to 13,353.
The new cases were confirmed after testing 5,724 samples in the last 24 hours, according to Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
The cumulative number of samples tested in Kenya since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in March has now reached 243,887.
The ministry also reported 682 more recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,122, and nine more deaths, raising the fatality count to 234.
The youngest of the new patients was seven months old, while the oldest was 86 years old, with 361 of the new cases being male and 242 female.
Nairobi County accounted for the highest number of new cases at 441, followed by Kiambu with 44, Mombasa with 22, Nakuru with 17, Kilifi with 10, and Machakos and Kisii with six infections each.
Other counties with new cases included Makueni, Murang'a, Nyeri, Kakamega, Kericho, Kisumu, Kwale, Lamu, Narok, Tharaka-Nithi, and Uasin Gishu.
