Simama na DJ Evolve Fundraiser Official Statement ¶
On July 18, 2020, the fundraising team responded to allegations that they were withholding funds from DJ Evolve's family.
According to the team, the delay in transferring the funds was due to the family's failure to provide the necessary bank account details.
The team stated that the M-Changa platform management had requested the family to provide the bank account details to ensure the funds were deposited to the rightful beneficiary.
However, as of July 17, 2020, the family had not provided the required details, leaving the status of the fundraiser unverified.
The team emphasized that the M-Changa fundraising platform was the sole custodian of the funds and that the individual(s) initiating the campaign had no access to the collected funds.
The fundraising team maintained that they had maintained the highest level of integrity and transparency throughout the campaign process.
As per the M-Changa policy, if the family failed to provide the bank details by July 20, 2020, all contributors would be refunded within a week, and the fundraising campaign would be closed.
